My daughter, Maddy, went on Birthright, and I decided to meet her afterward for what turned into an almost three-week, once-in-a-lifetime mother-daughter trip to Israel.
Three weeks before we left, all I had booked were our flights. I had no itinerary, no hotels, and no real plan. Finding Suzanne on Facebook was the best decision I could have made.
She took our ideas and turned them into an unforgettable trip that was perfectly tailored to us. Instead of following a flag from one crowded tourist stop to the next, we experienced Israel at our own pace while still seeing all of the major sites.
Suzanne also connected us with an outstanding private guide, Patrick Amar, for five days of customized touring. Some of our most memorable experiences included a private tour of the underground tunnels beneath the Kotel, visiting the Nova Memorial and Sderot for an AMAZING tour with Nova survivor Amit Musaei, standing at both the Jordanian and Syrian borders, and making an impromptu stop at beautiful natural pools to swim at Gan HaShlosha (Sachne); one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Throughout our travels, Suzanne and Patrick also kept us away from areas with safety concerns and adjusted plans whenever needed. What really sets Suzanne apart, though, is that her support doesn’t end once your itinerary is finalized. She was always checking in and available when unexpected issues came up. When I realized I had accidentally left an important prescription medication at home, Suzanne and Patrick immediately jumped in and helped me navigate getting it replaced in Jerusalem. That kind of support is priceless when you’re thousands of miles from home.
She also booked wonderful hotels that fit our budget while being ideally located in every city we visited. There is simply no way we could have experienced as much as we did on a standard group tour. We saw Israel in a far more personal, authentic, and meaningful way. If you’re considering a trip to Israel, I can’t recommend Suzanne highly enough.
